Assessment Plan
At Western Illinois University, there is nothing in place that helps teach students about their insurance. So, it is assumed that either the student has acquired previous knowledge via family and friends or no prior knowledge. As it was stated in a focus group in a study done in 2018, participants and key informants uniformly expressed that the complicated, multi-step was a barrier, not to mention the lack of communication about enrolling and helping make the complex process even more opaque (Palmedo & Mateo, 2018). F.Y.I will be a chance for students to learn, grow, and understand their health insurance.
Evidence & Evaluation Tool
For this intervention, a triangulation will occur using direct and indirect evidence. Using these methods will allow students to evaluate theirs skills (pre/post test) and then evaluate themselves on the intervention through a survey. Not only will this show them progression, but also give the facilitators different sets of data.

Pre & Post Test
The Pre and Post-test will consist of 4-6Â questions that will be the same for both tests. This way participants can see their growth from the beginning of the program to the end based on knowledge. These tests will outline the presentation and activity, gearing towards the learning outcomes that are designed for the intervention.
Implementation and Analysis
These assessments will be implemented at the beginning and end of the intervention. At the beginning of the program, the pre-test will be distributed. Participants will not be required to put their names on the test. Then at the end of the program, participants will be given the survey and post-test. These will be on the same form to make it easier to review results.

Through quantitative evaluation tools, assessments will be evaluated for institutional purposes. Since this intervention is based on gaining knowledge, skill, but also can be important for retention, many stakeholders will be involved in the results. Higher administration will be shown the successes of the intervention, as well as the retention initiatives team. The facilitators will interpret the data that is gained through assessment.
Political and Ethical Concerns
Privacy
Due to working with a complex topic that involves different areas of background, some may be concerned with lettings others know that information. This could be when finances are discussed or family background.
Institutional Dynamic
The institution will have to work towards creating a sound program for this intervention. This means other areas may have to get involved with research and implementing the information. The institution may not want to put forth the efforts towards the intervention.
